Utah Sushi Roll Expert Review:
Our expert reviews take into account four factors: food quality, cleanliness of location, service and price. Ratings are on a 1 to 5 scale with 5 being outstanding. Our rating for this Restaurant is as follows:

Overall Rating: 4.0
Asian Panda is a great all around restaurant with not only great sushi but a wide range of Chinese dishes as well. If you’re like me and love sushi but your significant other is not such a big fan then this is a perfect place.  You can get your fill of sushi and your family can dine on Orange Chicken or something more exotic like Pineapple Duck or Treasures of the Sea which is a heaping platter of shrimp, scallops, faux crab meat, and fish with assorted vegetables, sizzling at your table.

Quality: 4
The sushi I had was very fresh and tasted high quality.  At some sushi restaurants you get a roll that when you bite into it you get an overwhelming mushy conglomerations of flavors.  The higher quality sushi bars have chefs that create sushi where you can taste the blend of all the ingredients but also at different times taste the individual flavors.  Asian Panda is the later, the sushi chef Tina Lin was very eager to please my pallet and made me sushi where I could taste the individual ingredients.

Cleanliness: 4
This is a newer restaurant so it’s was very clean and decorated nicely with new fixtures.  There are nice booths and tables with a small sushi bar and cocktail bar as well. For a new part of Orem this is a nice location right off the interstate close to other shopping and restaurants.  Easy to find and plenty of parking make this sushi restaurant a nice experience all the way around.

Service: 4

The service was quite good.  As I mentioned the sushi chef was very interested in how I liked the sushi and if everything was to my liking.  The tables are set nicely with everything you need and the food came out quick.  I went earlier in the day and was very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of some of the younger staff.

Price: 4
The price are right in line with some of the sushi restaurants you’d find in downtown Salt Lake City.  They offer two for one rolls and with a nice selection of Maki sushi rolls and specialty rolls there is a lot to order from.
